Pepe's Piñatas

Welcome to Pepe's booth, where different Piñatas are waiting to be burst open to reveal the treats within!

Pepe's Piñatas is one of the Collection events available in Best Fiends. The goal of the event is to destroy the Piñatas in Pepe's booth. When you have destroyed enough of them, a Golden Piñata will appear. Destroy it for your final reward!

What are Bats and how do I get them?

Bats (Basic Bats and Mega Bats) can be used to hit the Piñatas in Pepe's booth and you can get them by collecting Slug Tickets. However, it seems that Slugs have been up to no good, and they have stolen the Slug tickets needed to obtain these Bats!

To get these Slug Tickets back, you have to go after the Slugs in the new levels that you play. When you play previously uncompleted levels, you'll be able to see Slugs with safes on their backs, as well as a number of how many Slug Tickets that safe contains.
Defeat the Slug by doing damage to it with matches in the level. When the Slug is defeated, the Slug Tickets the safe contained will be added to a collection bar on the left side of your screen. When that collection bar fills up, you've earned yourself a Basic Bat!

However, please do note that the level you're collecting the Slug Tickets from needs to be won for the Tickets to be collected. If you do not win the level, the Slugs will escape with their Tickets and run away. The level can then be tried again until you win, at which point the Tickets from that level try will be added to your collection bar.

What is the Mega Bat chase?

From time to time, you may see a limited-time promotion to earn a Mega Bat. Mega Bats are even stronger Bats that will do more damage to the Piñata you use them on, as well as get you better rewards for doing so!

When a Mega Bat Chase starts, you'll see an icon on your World Map, which will also show you a timer for the promotion. To make progress towards your Mega Bat, you will need to win levels on your first try. When you do so, you will get a Star. That Star will appear on the Mega Bat Chase's icon.

When you have filled out all of the required Stars within the time limit by winning levels on the first try, you will be given a Mega Bat and you can use it in Pepe's booth to hit a Piñata.

This promotion is time-limited and if the time runs out, the promotion will disappear and you'll have to try again next time when the promotion is active.

How do I destroy Piñatas?

When Bats have been obtained with Slug Tickets, return to Pepe's booth from the event icon to use them. Underneath the Piñatas, you'll be able to see the available Basic Bats and Mega Bats. Tap on the one you wish to use, and then tap on the Piñata you wish to hit with it!

At any given time, you'll have 1-3 Piñatas to choose from, and you can see their remaining health above the Piñata itself. When that health reaches 0%, the Piñata will break and you will receive the rewards inside! Just hitting the Piñata will cause some rewards to fall out as well, so you'll always be rewarded for using your Bats.

When you hit a Piñata, it will take varying amounts of damage based on the Bat used and the force of the hit. The force of the hit varies, so you may see different results for different hits, even if you use the same type of Bat.

Hitting the Piñata will also cause it to swing, and that swinging motion can collide with the other Piñatas, causing additional damage to them.

What happens after I have destroyed the Golden Piñata?

After you have destroyed enough Piñatas, a special Golden Piñata will appear. The Golden Piñata contains the main reward of the event, which can be in-game resources like Gold or even a new Fiend Style! When it is broken, you have completed the event! Congratulations!

You can still keep playing the event and earning more in-game resources after that - Pepe will have enough Piñatas for all, at least until the event expires and it's time to pack up his booth for the next time.
