Converters

Converters are a type of Special Power used by Fiends like Brittle (purple), Bob (red), Gene (green), Edward (blue) and Kwincy (yellow). The icons look like this:

Charging Fiend's Power

To charge a Fiend's Special Power, simply collect blocks of that Fiend's corresponding color. You can see the charging progress right below your Fiend when you're drawing the chain:

Using the converter

Converters will change the color of the nearby blocks into the blocks of their own color. The range of the converter can pass through most of the indestructible obstacles in the game. It can be useful in some levels if you need to match blocks on the other side of a fence.

You can start the match with a Converter, you do not need to match into it to activate it. Please note that this does not apply to Splendid's Rainbow Converter.

Converter's range

The range of the Converter will get a boost when the Fiend reaches level 5, 10, 15 and 20. Here's how it grows:

Level 1-4 (up to 8 blocks):

Level 5-9 (up to 12 blocks):

Level 10-14 (up to 16 blocks):

Level 15-19 (up to 20 blocks):

Level 20-> (up to 24 blocks):

Double Converters:

This is the second type of converter in Best Fiends. It's currently used by Woody (yellow) and Dougie (green). The icons look like this:

Their range is one step smaller than standard Converters, but they will convert a single block into a double block. So that's nearly twice as many blocks!
