HOW DO I KNOW WHICH OPERATING SYSTEM I HAVE?
Your Operating System,e.g. Windows XP, Windows 10, OS X 10.10, etc., can be found as follows :
- On Windows: Visit this page: Tap me!
- On Mac / OS X:
- Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your screen
- Select About This Mac
- Your Operating System is listed at the top, e.g. OS X Yosemite, Version 10.10
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH GRAPHICS/VIDEO CARD I HAVE?
Your Graphics/Video Card Model, e.g. ATI Radeon HD 5870, N, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730, Intel Iris, can be found as follows:
- On Windows:
- Open the Run prompt; this can be opened from the Start menu by clicking Run, or on Windows 10, Searching for Run among your applications
- In the Open box, type dxdiag and click OK. This will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool
- In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click the Display tab.
- In the Device section of this tab, you will see information about your graphics/video card, including your card's name.
- On Mac / OS X...
- Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your screen
- Select About This Mac
- Your Graphics/Video Card is listed under Graphics
HOW DO I GET THE CONSOLE LOG?
The Console Log from your web browser can be found as written below. Please make sure to copy-paste the entire log.
- On Windows:
- Google Chrome: Use the menu on the right of the window, and choose Tools > JavaScript console. You’ll see the console appear in the bottom part of the screen. Make sure you’ve selected the “Console” tab.
- Mozilla Firefox: Use the main menu and choose Web Developer > Web Console. You’ll see the console appear in the bottom part of the screen, make sure you’ve selected the “Console” tab.
- Microsoft Edge: Press the F12 key and select the "Console" tab.
- On Mac / OS X:
- Google Chrome: To access the developer console in Chrome, select View > Developer > JavaScript Console menu (Option-Cmd-J). The Console will open at the bottom of your browser window. To close the console window, use the X in the top left corner of the console. This will not close your browser window, just the console.
- Safari: To access the developer console in Safari, use the Develop > Show Error Console menu item (Option+Cmd+C). If you don’t see the Develop menu, you’ll need to turn it on using Safari Preferences. Open Safari > Preferences, and click on the Advanced Tab. At the bottom of the pane, check the box next to “Show Develop Menu in menu bar”. The Develop menu will appear and you’ll be able to access the Show Error Console menu item.
- Mozilla Firefox: Open the Main Menu, then select Developer, and finally Browse Console.Once the Console is open, navigate to the JStab to view the correct Console Log.
